Okay, I'll admit I was hoping for more than the it's okay.
I was hoping for:
Let's be friends.
Let's be buddies.
Let's be more than just the past.

I'll admit it took me a while. I was ignorant.
I was:
Hurt
Sad
Broken pieces on the floor.

I'm still standing today
But sometimes I remember:
You and me.
Together.
Those are things I can't forget.

I wish you would just ask me your questions.
Though I agree:
It's all over now
it's in the past
Memories.

Now I find songs to explain how I feel
but what do I feel:
Hurt. no.
sad. no.
broken. no.

I feel
Strong
hopeful
willing to change
and most of all empty.
